It is all laughable IMO. Pay cash, if you don't have cash then save your money until you do. Are you in control or allowing others to assume that role! Fuck the credit score - buy into that regime and you lost the war!

They don't have to back your debt.

The FDIC backs your money in a bank up to $100,000. Bank fails they have to pay up.

If you have $100,000 in debt, bank fails, it gets passed to the next bank for pennies on the dollar.

hubby saw a magazine cover a couple of months ago blaming Dave Ramsey and Christians for the recession (he created Financial Peace University). Helping people take charge and get out of debt.

Debt is slavery and those who control the debt are the Masters. Those Masters do not want to loose control, their goal is to expand their power, look how "credit" is pushed as shown in this article.

I'll buy into that. Agencies spend money for these and other programs based soley on the fact that if they DON'T spend the money, they will risk losing their programs and jobs. In essence, the expenditures have less to do with whether the programs need the money or not.
